Thin Metals
Thin sheet metals for laser cutting include Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper, Titanium, Aluminum, Silver.
Sheet metal parts often have a mechanical function such as a template or screen or filter. Laser machining can generate very fine features as well as excellent dimensional control. Metal thicknesses are typically .001″ to .060″, depending on the alloy. Common part sizes are from .10″ diameter to 5″ diameter. Titanium and other metals are used in aerospace applications.
